Connector & Gender Configuration
The MPO/MTP® end is available in male (pinned) or female (unpinned) configurations. The correct gender must match the mating MPO interface; pinned-to-pinned mating is not suitable for standard MPO connections.
The SC side is available with UPC or APC polish. SC connectors and MPO connectors can be supplied according to applicable interface standards, including IEC 61754-20 for SC and IEC 61754-7 / TIA-604-5 for MPO interfaces.
MPO Polarity Configuration
Type A, Type B, and Type C polarity configurations are available.
Type A: Maintains the same fiber position sequence between ends.
Type B: Reverses the fiber position sequence.
Type C: Reverses fiber pairs.
Polarity should be selected based on the complete end-to-end cabling architecture, including MPO trunks, cassettes, transceivers, and patching components.
Fiber Count & Cable Construction
Available configurations include 8-fiber, 12-fiber, and 24-fiber assemblies for OS2 single-mode or OM3/OM4/OM5 multimode applications. Standard breakout construction uses a main MPO cable that transitions into individual SC legs, with cable and leg dimensions configured according to the required assembly.
LSZH is available for low-smoke, halogen-free installations, while OFNR/OFNP options can be specified for North American riser or plenum applications. Cable colors can also follow common fiber-industry conventions for OS2 and multimode fiber.
